Fatter, Less Wild Mercury
Thinner, Wilder, Mercury-er
"Thin Wild Mercury" was a phrase Dylan used to describe what he was aiming for with his recorded output in the mid-1960s - "Highway 61 Revisited" and "Blonde on Blonde" specifically.
I use it as a catchall to describe that feeling of perfection, bliss, liberty and happiness that I find sometimes in music and music collecting. So that's what this blog is about - the pursuit of that feeling. I don't think many of us get there that often, but the journey is worth it when you arrive.
